PRAYER REQUESTS

Do you have family members or friends who no longer go to church or are attending a different faith? Can your prayers really help them? At times it seems hopless and impossible but don't give up! When we pray we can ask the many great saints to pray with us for our intent. Prayer works, I have proof. Read about St. Monica below:

St. Monica was born in 333 AD in North Africa. Her marriage was prearranged to a pagan man. Her husband was unfaithful to her and was very bad tempered. His mother came to live with the couple and she degraded Monica and spread lies about her. Monica ignored their abuses and instead prayed for them and continued to do good works such as helping the poor and sick. Monica never ceased praying and was rewarded when her husband and his mother both converted to Christianity. Monica had three sons and the eldest was a constant worry for her he seemed a hopeless case. He insulted his mother and never listened to her. Straying further away, he took a mistress and a son was born of this union. With much prayer, Monica's son St. Augustine, became so strongly drawn to the Catholic faith that he was eventually canonized as one of the church's greatest teachers. Monica's prayers were heard in a way she never imagined. You too can have your prayers answered, if like St. Monica, you pray with all your heart with great love and trust in God. As Catholics we are encouraged to ask St. Monica and all the saints to pray with us for our intent. Please submit your prayer request. We will join you along with St. Monica and all the saints in heaven.
